We may often eat emotionally to avoid feeling our feelings. But this isn't our fault. We live in a culture that teaches us to feel only the "good" emotions and not the "bad" ones. And often, processing emotions isn't modeled for us. 

It can take more work to avoid and push away emotions that it does to actually feel them.
