> “Emotions need to be managed so you can stay in control.”
> “If you change your mind-set, you’ll reach your health and weight goals.”
What they are really telling you:
Your mind, body and emotions are wrong. They must be fixed. Don’t listen to your body, it can’t be trusted.
What I know to be true:
>Food isn’t the enemy and therefore something you don’t need to fight.
> Your emotions are simply energy and want to move through you. They aren’t right or wrong.
> eating is an opportunity to heal and be a source of pleasure.
> You are whole and complete. Your body is divine. It’s your birth right to feel free around food and madly love your body.
What I’m really telling you:
You’re not wrong. We live in a culture that tells us we need fixing. Your body is something to trust and cherish.
